{"schema":"threatline.record/2","record":{"id":"CVE-2026-93633","aliases":[],"summary":"Zimbra Collaboration Suite Briefcase CSS Sanitization Bypass via Non-ASCII Stylesheet Characters","details":"A CSS sanitization vulnerability in Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) allows an authenticated user with Briefcase access to publish a document that displays attacker-controlled content under the Zimbra origin. When processing a stylesheet containing non-ASCII characters, DefangFilter appends the final ASCII segment without sanitizing it. HTML stored as application/x-zimbra-doc can therefore retain CSS URL references that the normal sanitizer removes. An attacker can share a crafted document that loads external resources and displays a credential-collection form using Zimbra's own visual assets. Exploitation requires the victim to open the document in a browser that renders the content type inline; credential theft additionally requires form submission. ZCS 10.1.16 and 10.1.20 are affected.","categories":["Applications & CMS"],"product":"Zimbra Collaboration Suite","vendor":"Zimbra","ecosystem":null,"affected_ranges":[{"source":"CVE List","source_url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-93633","source_modified_at":"2026-10-23T13:25:21.365Z","fetched_at":"2026-10-23T18:42:43.628194Z","product":"Zimbra Collaboration Suite","vendor":"Zimbra","versions":[{"status":"affected","version":"0","lessThanOrEqual":"10.1.20","versionType":"semver"}],"defaultStatus":"unaffected"}],"fixed_versions":[],"cvss":5.4,"severity":"Medium","kev":{"listed":false},"epss":{"probability":null,"percentile":null,"score_date":null},"published_at":"2026-10-23T13:25:21.365Z","modified_at":"2026-10-23T13:25:21.365Z","provenance":[{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-93633","fetched_at":"2026-10-23T18:42:43.628194Z","source_modified_at":"2026-10-23T13:25:21.365Z"}],"sources":["CVE List"],"references":[{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Security_Advisories","tags":["vendor-advisory"]},{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://www.rapid7.com/blog/post/ve-breaking-zimbra-identity-boundaries-part-1/","tags":["related"]}],"locations":[],"motoko_assessment":{"status":"requires_architecture_review","automatic_remediation":false},"cve_state":"PUBLISHED","cvss_source":"CVE List","classification":{"method":"product-first software-layer rules","rules_version":"2.1","matched_on":"product","confidence":"heuristic","reviewed":false},"change_timestamp":"2026-10-23T13:25:21.365Z","content_hash":"b45c3658a96fb5c2b0829fdf7aee2f7eafefa2690516e64db49b89f208d43896"}}
