{"schema":"threatline.record/2","record":{"id":"CVE-2026-115785","aliases":[],"summary":"Zimbra Collaboration Suite Data Source Test SMTP Command Injection via Unsanitized Email Address","details":"An SMTP command injection vulnerability in the data-source testing functionality of Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS) allows an ordinary authenticated user with account options enabled to inject CR/LF into the emailAddress inserted into an SMTP envelope command by a JSON SOAP request. After a successful preliminary POP3 or IMAP login, Zimbra sends the injected commands to the selected SMTP service. If that service accepts the pipelined transaction, the attacker can submit mail with attacker-selected recipients, headers and body content without victim interaction. The vulnerable command-construction path is present in ZCS 10.1.16 and 10.1.20.","categories":["Applications & CMS"],"product":"Zimbra Collaboration Suite","vendor":"Zimbra","ecosystem":null,"affected_ranges":[{"source":"CVE List","source_url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-115785","source_modified_at":"2026-10-24T03:55:31.466Z","fetched_at":"2026-10-24T05:41:33.294140Z","product":"Zimbra Collaboration Suite","vendor":"Zimbra","versions":[{"lessThanOrEqual":"10.1.20","status":"affected","version":"0","versionType":"semver"}],"defaultStatus":"unaffected"}],"fixed_versions":[],"cvss":4.3,"severity":"Medium","kev":{"listed":false},"epss":{"probability":0.00979,"percentile":0.6191,"score_date":"2026-10-24"},"published_at":"2026-10-23T13:50:33.115Z","modified_at":"2026-10-24T03:55:31.466Z","provenance":[{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-115785","fetched_at":"2026-10-24T05:41:33.294140Z","source_modified_at":"2026-10-24T03:55:31.466Z"},{"source":"EPSS","url":"https://api.first.org/data/v1/epss?cve=CVE-2026-115785","fetched_at":"2026-10-24T18:03:20.872036Z","source_modified_at":"2026-10-24"}],"sources":["CVE List","EPSS"],"references":[{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Security_Advisories","tags":["vendor-advisory"]},{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://www.rapid7.com/blog/post/ve-breaking-zimbra-identity-boundaries-part-1/","tags":["related"]}],"locations":[],"motoko_assessment":{"status":"requires_architecture_review","automatic_remediation":false},"cve_state":"PUBLISHED","cvss_source":"CVE List","ssvc":{"exploitation":"none","automatable":"no","technical_impact":"total","assessed_at":"2026-10-23T00:00:00+00:00"},"classification":{"method":"product-first software-layer rules","rules_version":"2.1","matched_on":"product","confidence":"heuristic","reviewed":false},"change_timestamp":"2026-10-24T03:55:31.466Z","content_hash":"af7f058c67811842648170f0ab9eeac5e18ddd1446f62ed3a36b73795a8b19ce"}}
