{"schema":"threatline.record/2","record":{"id":"CVE-2026-107757","aliases":[],"summary":"Gallery Custom Links <= 2.3.3 - Authenticated (Subscriber+) Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Comment Author Display Name + Comment HTML Comment Body","details":"The Gallery Custom Links plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'display_name (profile.php) + comment (wp-comments-post.php)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.3.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The exploit requires two coordinated inputs from the same authenticated attacker: an HTML comment payload stored in a comment body (preserved verbatim by WordPress comment kses) and a matching simple_html_dom noise key placed in the attacker's display_name (which survives esc_attr() intact), with substitution occurring after both filters have run during the plugin's default-on output-buffering pass over the full rendered page.","categories":["Unclassified"],"product":"Gallery Custom Links","vendor":"tigroumeow","ecosystem":null,"affected_ranges":[{"source":"CVE List","source_url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-107757","source_modified_at":"2026-10-14T14:18:40.709Z","fetched_at":"2026-10-23T18:48:36.087640Z","product":"Gallery Custom Links","vendor":"tigroumeow","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","lessThanOrEqual":"2.3.3","versionType":"semver"}],"defaultStatus":"unaffected"}],"fixed_versions":[],"cvss":4.9,"severity":"Medium","kev":{"listed":false},"epss":{"probability":0.00235,"percentile":0.13653,"score_date":"2026-10-23"},"published_at":"2026-10-14T07:43:36.794Z","modified_at":"2026-10-14T14:18:40.709Z","provenance":[{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-107757","fetched_at":"2026-10-23T18:48:36.087640Z","source_modified_at":"2026-10-14T14:18:40.709Z"},{"source":"EPSS","url":"https://api.first.org/data/v1/epss?cve=CVE-2026-107757","fetched_at":"2026-10-23T18:42:43.628194Z","source_modified_at":"2026-10-23"}],"sources":["CVE List","EPSS"],"references":[{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/f37a0db8-b13c-4d9f-bc6f-88576f9e3862?source=cve"},{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/gallery-custom-links/tags/2.3.3/vendor/kub-at/php-simple-html-dom-parser/src/KubAT/PhpSimple/lib/simple_html_dom.php#L502"},{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/gallery-custom-links/tags/2.3.3/vendor/kub-at/php-simple-html-dom-parser/src/KubAT/PhpSimple/lib/simple_html_dom.php#L2112"},{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/gallery-custom-links/tags/2.3.3/vendor/kub-at/php-simple-html-dom-parser/src/KubAT/PhpSimple/lib/simple_html_dom.php#L2207"},{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/gallery-custom-links/tags/2.3.3/classes/core.php#L215"},{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/gallery-custom-links/tags/2.3.3/classes/core.php#L103"},{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3737485/gallery-custom-links"},{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3737485/gallery-custom-links/trunk/vendor/kub-at/php-simple-html-dom-parser/src/KubAT/PhpSimple/lib/simple_html_dom.php"}],"locations":[],"motoko_assessment":{"status":"requires_architecture_review","automatic_remediation":false},"cve_state":"PUBLISHED","cvss_source":"CVE List","ssvc":{"exploitation":"none","automatable":"no","technical_impact":"partial","assessed_at":"2026-10-14T14:16:06.134481Z"},"classification":{"method":"product-first software-layer rules","rules_version":"2.1","matched_on":null,"confidence":"unknown","reviewed":false},"change_timestamp":"2026-10-14T14:18:40.709Z","content_hash":"91309c2985dd9218af06b4bdb61279d468c06340e0791e5b7a12d493476df233"}}
