{"schema":"threatline.record/2","record":{"id":"CVE-2026-100696","aliases":["GHSA-q8h3-4cx4-prgm"],"summary":"Adminer before 6.0.2 Unauthenticated SSRF via Elasticsearch Driver","details":"Adminer 4.16.0 through 6.0.1 contain a pre-authentication Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the optional Elasticsearch driver (plugins/drivers/elastic.php), fixed in 6.0.2. Because adminer/include/auth.inc.php invokes Driver::connect() before the login result is validated, an unauthenticated attacker who submits crafted auth[server], auth[username], and auth[password] parameters can cause the Adminer server to issue an HTTP GET request (via get_url()/file_get_contents()) to an arbitrary reachable host and port. The driver validates only general server syntax and does not block loopback, private, link-local, or other reserved addresses; if no port is given it appends the default 9200, and Adminer's generic port check rejects ports below 1024. Selected JSON error fields from non-2xx Elasticsearch-style responses, as well as connection failures, are rendered on the login page, providing a port-scanning oracle and enabling internal network reconnaissance and service fingerprinting. Exploitation requires that the optional Elasticsearch driver be explicitly deployed (e.g., via the adminer/elastic.php template or an adminer_object() configuration; it is not loaded in a default build) and that PHP allow_url_fopen be enabled.","categories":["Applications & CMS"],"product":"adminer","vendor":"vrana","ecosystem":null,"affected_ranges":[{"source":"CVE List","source_url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-100696","source_modified_at":"2026-09-28T16:28:42.083Z","fetched_at":"2026-10-23T18:52:38.922436Z","product":"adminer","vendor":"vrana","versions":[{"version":"0","status":"affected","versionType":"semver","lessThan":"6.0.2"},{"version":"6.0.2","status":"unaffected","versionType":"semver"}],"defaultStatus":"unaffected"}],"fixed_versions":[{"source":"CVE List","source_url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-100696","source_modified_at":"2026-09-28T16:28:42.083Z","fetched_at":"2026-10-23T18:52:38.922436Z","package":{"name":"adminer","ecosystem":null},"version":"6.0.2","basis":"first unaffected version stated in the CVE record"}],"cvss":6.9,"severity":"Medium","kev":{"listed":false},"epss":{"probability":0.00306,"percentile":0.22187,"score_date":"2026-10-23"},"published_at":"2026-09-26T13:23:53.613Z","modified_at":"2026-09-28T16:28:42.083Z","provenance":[{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://www.cve.org/CVERecord?id=CVE-2026-100696","fetched_at":"2026-10-23T18:52:38.922436Z","source_modified_at":"2026-09-28T16:28:42.083Z"},{"source":"EPSS","url":"https://api.first.org/data/v1/epss?cve=CVE-2026-100696","fetched_at":"2026-10-23T18:42:43.628194Z","source_modified_at":"2026-10-23"}],"sources":["CVE List","EPSS"],"references":[{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://github.com/vrana/adminer/security/advisories/GHSA-q8h3-4cx4-prgm","tags":["exploit"]},{"source":"CVE List","url":"https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/adminer-before-6.0.2-unauthenticated-ssrf-via-elasticsearch-driver","tags":["third-party-advisory"]}],"locations":[],"motoko_assessment":{"status":"requires_architecture_review","automatic_remediation":false},"cve_state":"PUBLISHED","cvss_source":"CVE List","ssvc":{"exploitation":"poc","automatable":"yes","technical_impact":"partial","assessed_at":"2026-09-28T16:28:12.462409Z"},"classification":{"method":"product-first software-layer rules","rules_version":"2.1","matched_on":"product","confidence":"heuristic","reviewed":false},"change_timestamp":"2026-09-28T16:28:42.083Z","content_hash":"5aac1e8530b6773268d5cad65e934de871d25a82714792cc017d3c55b01c2be3"}}
